About Wallingford

The Wallingford area of Seattle sits just north of and borders Lake Union, with an approximate north boundary north of 50th street and east of Green Lake in the Meridian area. The feeling is one of a small town, but it’s situated near the University of Washington and the Fremont and Queen Anne areas.

Woodland Park and Green Lake provide natural park and greenbelt areas for enjoyment. Woodland Park is divided by Aurora Avenue into two parks featuring zoo exhibits, an amusement park, a rose garden and picnic spaces. There are also ball fields, tennis courts and walking paths.

Green Lake Park is at the northwest end of Wallingford. The park covers more than 320 acres and is one of the most popular parks in the Seattle area. A 2.8 mile path around the lake is heavily used by bikers, walkers and skaters. Hundreds of species of trees, plants and waterfowl make Green Lake Park and Wallingford their home.

Single family homes in Wallingford run between the high $300,000’s to over $1 million near Green Lake. There are also condominium and townhome properties in the area, but it is largely made up of single family residences.

Commute

The Wallingford to Downtown commute is 3 miles and about 12 minutes.
